Give Back

Tooth and Honey’s mission is to produce high quality, functional, and original apparel designed for pit bull type dogs. The purpose is to spark positive perceptions of the breed, inspire the most enjoyable lifestyle of responsible dog companionship, and provide for improved quality of life initiatives. Here are some of the ways we do that.

PARTNER RESCUES

In addition to partner rescues, we also donate products by request to a variety of registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Sometimes an organization or volunteer will contact us and let us know there is a need. Whether that need is functional (cold weather) or fashionable (drawing attention for an adoption event), we are happy to be able to support those initiatives.Northwest Dog Project Website

DONATION BOXES

Tooth and Honey persistently partners with 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations like the Northwest Dog Project. These partnerships include monthly monetary donations and care packages of our products that the rescues request. Often, the difference between a pit bull getting adopted or overlooked is a set of pajamas or a sweater to illuminate their true colors. Shifting the misguided perception from “scary dog” to the more accurate “kind-hearted softie” is easy when you’re wearing rubber ducky pajamas.

Every month we randomly pick organizations to receive donation boxes from us that include a variety of items to use for adoption events, rescue intakes, etc.

OTHER INITIATIVES

We also support case-by-case initiatives like spay-and-neuter clinics in high-need areas. In the past, various organizations have expressed the pressing circumstances of massive pit bull populations being euthanized due to backyard breeding and inadequate education. In combination with funding prevention initiatives to decrease that trend, we use our social media platform to inform and educate people on the importance of responsible pet ownership, which includes spaying or neutering your pit bull. We integrate that information aspect with lifestyle articles and original content blogs about living life to the fullest with your pit bull.

Since all of these donations and initiatives are funded by you, the customer, we strive for transparency and gratification with letting you know what that money goes toward.  We keep you updated on social media and in our newsletters or blogs.
