An improvement on an already-great design
I bought this to replace our years-old hippo leash that recently got chewed. While I'm disappointed that the pattern has changed since then and thus no longer perfectly matches our dog's hippo collar, I don't think it would be fair to count that against the leash in the review - I knew that before I bought it.
The design is an improvement in a couple of ways:
- The hardware which was painted and starting to chip pretty badly on the old leash is just polished stainless on this one. That problem is solved.
- The lower handle loop has been slightly reshaped so that it's easier to grab. Tension on the upper handle would pull the lower handle closed on the older leash, but this new one doesn't do that.

This is such a great leash espically for a dog who pulls. Love that it has padding and a handle too keep them a little closer definitely makes me feel safer on a walk😍
